Michigan Destination Wedding in Texas

Harry and Rachel – 10/29/22

Why did we love it? These two cuties live in Michigan! Harry came and toured EPW on his own while on a business/recruiting trip to Austin – he is the head tennis coach at Michigan State University. Rachel was busy getting her doctorate back in MI, and trusted him completely to choose a venue. It was between us or a venue in Montana (they really wanted a destination wedding) – and we won out!! Alllll of their family and friends from Michigan and around the country flew in for a wedding weekend.

Harry’s dad is from Pakistan so they had Indian food for dinner, his mom passed away when he was younger and him and his brothers wore Halloween themed felt pocket squares (his moms fav holiday <3) . They were so laidback and decided to do “family photos” amongst their cocktail hour guests. This was a first, but the results were AMAZING! So much less stiff than the traditional family photos. These two wanted to lean into Halloween being the same weekend with subtle nods, like pumpkins down the aisle. They also had a costume rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding in Comfort, TX.
